44 Revolutions Around the Sun & The Beauty of New Beginnings

Today marks my 44th birthday, celebrated in the stunning city of Porto that I now call home.

As I reflect on this journey – from global finance to founding Catalyst.Music – I’m struck by how life’s most beautiful compositions often arise from unexpected key changes.

Porto’s landscape reminds me daily of what we’re building at Catalyst.Music: a bridge between tradition and innovation. This city, with its centuries-old architecture alongside vibrant new energy, perfectly embodies the vision we have for classical music’s future.

The view from Ribeira to Gaia isn’t just picturesque – it’s symbolic. Two sides connected, both preserving their unique character while creating something remarkable together.

At 44, I’m more convinced than ever that the most exciting chapters are often the ones we couldn’t have imagined for ourselves. My path to founding a classical music consultancy wasn’t linear, but every experience – from financial strategy to international development – prepared me for this moment.
