Building Catalyst.Music in Public: The Real Journey
Today, we’re taking a different approach. Instead of insightful marketing, we’re pulling back the curtain on building Catalyst.Music.
The truth? Building a disruptive classical music consultancy isn’t all perfect performances and standing ovations.
What we’ve learned so far:
- The industry is simultaneously hungry for change and resistant to it. The same people who nod enthusiastically about innovation often hesitate when faced with actual disruption.
- Our biggest wins have come from honest conversations – not presentations. When we stopped trying to impress and started truly listening, everything changed.
- Some days we question everything. Is the market ready? Are we too early? Too late? Too disruptive? Not disruptive enough?
- Finding our voice has been an evolution. You’ve seen our posts shift and grow as we refine how we communicate our vision.
Why share this?
Because we believe the classical music world needs more transparency. More authenticity. More honest conversation about the challenges we all face.
We’re building Catalyst.Music in public because we believe in:
- Learning out loud
- Sharing the journey
- Embracing the imperfect
- Growing with our community
As we support artists like Luis Magalhães in breaking new ground, we’re learning alongside them.
So here’s to the messy middle. The questions. The pivots. The discoveries.
What challenges are you facing in your corner of the music world?
